Every Student, Every Campus

Our dream is for every student on every campus to have an opportunity to respond to the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.  The university student's heart and mind are searching during these years.

  • What is life?
  • Where is meaning?
  • What is love?
  • What should I do for my future?

We are envisioning in our hearts, the day when every entering freshman, on every university, can find an out of the ordinary, exciting, energetic, life-changing, healthy community.  New freshmen should be able to find a community deeply connected with the following characteristics. (Acts 2:42-47)

  • Filled with fervent expectation of the supernatural God
  • Helping bring unsaved students to the feet of Christ
  • Helping Christian students grow deeper in their relationship to Christ
  • Providing opportunities and the best training to help reach the world
  • Seeing graduates continue to lead people to Christ
  • Staying connected in personal relationships through "grace and faithfulness"

We don't want any single student to miss the wonderful adventure that God has for their life.  Currently 3 million Japanese university students are lost waiting to hear the gospel.  But we are dreaming of the time when God will change these circumstances.

Campus Ministry Information

At present there are 1,005 4 year universities and 2.3 million university students throughout the nation of Japan!  Many are away from their families for the first time in their lives.  What a critical time to help them learn the truth of the gospel!

JCCC is currently working on 14 different campuses in 6 cities around Japan, including Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Sendai and Fukuoka.  We have had some work previously in Okinawa and Sapporo.  We are preparing more staff and short terms for additional cities.

Our campus ministries involve teams of staff working with committed Christian students in exposing their classmates to the gospel, following up with those who indicate a decision to receive Christ, building small groups of disciples who will also learn to share their faith, and sending these committed Christian students to help touch the rest of Japan and Asia and the world.
